Michelle B. , RVT, Medical Manager
A veteran of veterinary medicine since 1988, Michelle became an RVT in 1993. Since then she has worked as a technician in small animal practices and an exotic mobile practice in Las Vegas, a health examiner for the Humane Society of Silicon Valley and head technician at Saint Francis of Assisi in Gilroy. She migrated from the Bay Area to the High Desert in 2001 and then found her niche with the AVAH team in 2002. Besides medicine, Michelle is also a professional animal trainer - working on everything from simple dog training to production work for movies, TV, print and theatre. She was formerly a curator for the Hesperia Zoo and spent 6 month on the road speaking about wildlife conservation for under privileged schools across the US. When she isn't working, she spends time with her Beagle Posse - McFly and Pocket - and her devoted superkitten Bubbles (aka Agent Bubble-oh-Seven). Her future plans include: finding a way to save the universe, end hunger, eliminate war and discover an antidote for her addiction to her mother's pot roast...after that she'll call it a day.

I have been working at AVAH since 1999, and have been in the veterinary field since 1990. I work primarily as a treatment technician but sometimes help in pharmacy also. I have many animals ranging from rats to horses. Most of my "children" are rescues or were unwanted, so I gave them a loving home. I have a 3 legged Chihuahua, one with only one eye, and a 3 legged cat. In total, my animal family includes about 35 animals! |

I have been in the animal care field since the age of 15. I have experience in grooming, pet walking/ sitting, boarding/kennels and have found my true calling in the animal medical profession. I moved to the High Desert in Feb of 2007 and started at AVAH shortly thereafter. I am married with one child, who is the best little boy ever :-} Our extended family includes a Shintzu named Summit, a cat named Harley, and a soon coming, unnamed Bull Mastiff puppy. As long as I am working with animals I am happy :-} When not at work, I care for my son and my own animals, which makes me happiest of all :-} |

I’ve been in the veterinary field since 1991, and have been at AVAH since March of ’96. I’ve worked as a pharmacy tech and receptionist here, and now I help out Pat in the business office 3 days a week. My family consists of my wonderful husband and two great children who are the light of my life! We are avid L.A. Kings fans, and go to as many games as we can. Like many of us here, most of my animals were rescues. We currently have two dogs, two cats, two birds, a few fish and a chameleon. My husband actually put me on “pet adoption restriction” for several years or we would probably have a lot more! Our hospital cat, Bustifur, was brought to us by one of my best friends. I simply adore him! To me, this is the best job in the world. I love what I do!
